Simple extraction
The tooth has come fully through the gum. It is numbed and removed in one short visit.
Surgical extraction
The tooth is under the gum or bone. A small incision is made and the tooth is removed in sections, then the gum is stitched.
Infected gum flap
Pericoronitis is first settled with cleaning and medication, then the tooth is removed once the swelling is down.

What to Expect
1. Consultation and X-ray
A panoramic or digital X-ray shows the tooth position and its relation to the nerve and sinus.
2. Numbing
Local anaesthetic makes the procedure painless. Nervous patients are welcome — we take our time.
3. Removal
Simple extractions take 10–20 minutes; surgical removals 30–60 minutes.
4. Recovery
Mild swelling for 2–4 days is normal. You get painkillers, aftercare instructions and a review visit.
