Stopping the Bleeding
1. Professional cleaning
Tartar and plaque are removed from every tooth surface, above and just below the gum.
2. Keep brushing the bleeding areas
Gentle, thorough brushing along the gum line twice a day. The bleeding stops within 1–2 weeks as the gums heal.
3. Clean between the teeth
Floss or interdental brushes every day — this is where gum disease starts.
4. Review

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I stop brushing if my gums bleed?
No — the opposite. Bleeding means plaque is irritating the gums, and only brushing and flossing remove it. Keep cleaning gently but thoroughly and the bleeding stops within about two weeks. If it does not, book a cleaning.
