Replacing Missing Teeth at M Dental Care

A missing tooth is more than a gap. The teeth beside it tilt into the space, the tooth above or below over-erupts, chewing shifts to one side and the jaw bone under the gap slowly shrinks. Replacing a lost tooth early keeps the rest of your mouth stable and makes the replacement simpler.

At M Dental Care in Najjera–Kira, Kampala, we offer every proven option: dental implants that replace the root and crown, fixed bridges anchored on the neighbouring teeth, and modern partial or full dentures. We explain the pros, cons and cost of each honestly so you can choose what fits your mouth and your budget.

Why replace a missing tooth

  • Stops neighbouring teeth drifting and tilting into the gap
  • Restores even chewing and protects the remaining teeth from overload
  • Preserves the jaw bone and the shape of your face
  • Improves speech and confidence, especially for front teeth
  • Makes future treatment simpler and cheaper

Your Replacement Options

Dental implant

A titanium root placed in the bone with a crown on top. The closest thing to a natural tooth — strong, permanent and independent of other teeth.

Dental bridge

A false tooth held by crowns on the teeth either side. Fixed, quick (two visits) and more affordable than an implant.

Partial denture

A removable plate replacing one or several teeth. The most economical option and easy to add teeth to later.

Full denture

Replaces all teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Custom-made by our dental technician for fit, comfort and a natural look.

Choosing the Right Option

1. Examination and X-ray

We assess the gap, the neighbouring teeth, your gums and the amount of bone available.

2. Discuss options

Implant, bridge or denture — you hear the honest pros, cons, timeline and price of each.

3. Treatment

Dentures and bridges are ready within a few visits; implants take 3–6 months while the bone heals around the post.

4. Maintenance

Regular checkups and cleaning keep your replacement — and the teeth around it — healthy for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest way to replace a missing tooth in Uganda?

A partial denture, from UGX 300,000 at M Dental Care. A bridge is the mid-range fixed option and a dental implant, from UGX 8,000,000, is the most natural and longest-lasting.

Implant or bridge — which is better?

An implant does not touch the neighbouring teeth and lasts longest, but costs more and takes months. A bridge is faster and cheaper but requires crowning the teeth on either side. We advise based on your mouth and budget.

How soon after an extraction can I replace the tooth?

A denture can be fitted immediately or once the gum heals in a few weeks. Bridges are usually made after 6–8 weeks of healing. Implants are placed either at extraction or after 2–3 months, depending on the bone.

Can I replace a front tooth the same day?

Yes. A temporary denture or bonded temporary tooth can be provided so you are never without a front tooth while the permanent replacement is made.
