What can I do for a toothache at home before I see the dentist?
Take paracetamol or ibuprofen as directed, rinse with warm salt water, avoid very hot, cold or sweet foods and keep the area clean. Never put aspirin on the gum. These steps ease the pain but do not fix the cause — book a visit as soon as you can.
